Brief Guidelines for Burials at Riverview Cemetery and Memorial Gardens Cemetery

Individuals desiring to purchase lots may do so at the Treasurer's office at the City of Louisiana

Only one (1) body, with the exception of a pregnant woman and her fetus, may be placed in a single grave plot. However, one (1) cremated remains may be placed in the same grave with a body once an additional fee (as outlined in the fee schedule) is paid to the City Treasurer.

Cremated remains of no more than six (6) persons may be placed in a single grave once an additional fee per cremated remains (as outlined in the fee schedule) is paid to the City Treasurer.

Graves are opened and closed by a pre-approved contractor "Billings Funeral Services 573-406-3555" selected by the City. Whoever is overseeing the arrangements, must contact the contractor directly.

Vault and or casket lowering devices and all other devices associated with the vault and/or casket and labor to do so, shall be supplied by the company selected by those responsible for overseeing the arrangements. The City does not own this type of equipment and can not perform this task.

Division On Addictions

Division On Addictions is an organization that helps vulnerable Missouri residents who are addicted to drugs or alcohol locate proper treatment options. Alcoholism and drug addiction are terrible crises affecting all ages in our communities – from teenagers to senior citizens.

Finding treatment facilities that are able to understand the underlying causes of the addiction, and that are able to cure an individual so as to prevent any relapse, is often a very hard task. This is where we come in. We help those in greatest need to find addiction treatment options that are the best for each individual situation. Our services are 100% free.

Small Business Grant Program

18th District State Senator Cindy O'Laughlin would like to make all Small Business owners in her District aware of a SB Grant Program.

The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) has just released the guidelines for the Small Business Grant Program in the amount of $10 million.

Grant applications will be accepted starting on November 16th and continue until the funds are appropriated.

This information is being sent to all cities/villages within her 18th District in hopes that your office will be able to distribute the information along to her constituents who operate small businesses and were negatively impacted by COVID 19.

Please click on the link below for more information regarding the SB funding guidelines.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me and I will direct you to the DED individual in charge of this grant program. lois.bragg.senate.mo.gov
